How It Works
Produced water enters the ODS Hydrocyclone Liner tangentially, creating a swirling flow that generates strong centrifugal forces. These forces drive heavier water and solids to the outer wall, while lighter oil droplets migrate to the center. As the flow passes through the conical liner, increasing velocity enhances separation efficiency. The concentrated oily core is discharged through the reject orifice, while treated water exits through the underflow. Approximately 2.5% v/v of the incoming flow is diverted to the oily water reject, ensuring effective oil removal with minimal water loss.
